Online awareness meeting organized by A.M.M.I, on the Ivorian diaspora, in direct connection with the commune of Daloa (Ivory Coast).

Dear members of the Ivorian community of Turin.

Yesterday Thursday September 26th live from Turin, in the headquarters of our partner MULTI-ETHNIC ASSOCIATION OF INTERCULTURAL MEDIATORS (A.M.M.I.) located at C.so Vigevano 56.

A meeting was organized that addressed the issues of immigration and integration of the Ivorian diaspora of Turin, with the participation of the Municipality of Turin represented by its office of International Cooperation and Peace Activities City of Turin.

The meeting was in direct duplex with the Municipality of Daloa (Ivory Coast) 🇨🇮 and the community of young Ivorians intending to emigrate to Europe.

There was the intervention of one of our compatriots, an intercultural mediator who works in the ”Emergency Reception” of migrants who arrive across the sea in Italy after a traumatic stay from North Africa (Tunisia, Libya, etc.).

With him, we tried to inform and raise awareness among the community of Daloa about the risks of irregular emigration and the reception conditions in Italy.
The mayor of the city of Daloa Mr. Gbeuly Stéphane Auguste, two of his deputies and the secretary general Mr. Arsène Gnahore were present.

Seminar organized within the framework of the project “Turin-Daloa: Sustainable Territorial Partnership Path”, with the City of Turin as the project leader. The project partners are: #AMMI, Panafricando-Aps, Association Espérance de vie – Cote D’Ivoire, Gruppo Abele Onlus, Malaika Angels Onlus, Cocopa .
